What hours will you be open?
We will be open Monday to Friday 8am – 5.30pm & closed on Saturdays
What do I do if I have missed my appointment during lockdown?
We have now contacted all our customers who have missed their appointments during this period and given them the opportunity to rebook
Can I still book your loan car?
After reassessing our risk assessments, we are happy to now offer this service, the loan car is wiped down with anti bacterial wipes after each customer use.
Can I still arrange a collection & delivery?
After reassessing our risk assessments, we are now happy to re offer this service and wipe all services down before entering and before returning vehicles to our customers.
Can I wait at Vass-Tech in reception whilst my car is being repaired?
To reduce the risk of spreading the virus our reception area will be out of bounds, we hope to re open this as soon as we can.
What safety measures are you taking?
A very comprehensive risk assessment according to the government guidelines has been carried out. Such as two metre social distancing, washing hands regularly for 20 seconds and appropriate PPE. This has helped us assess the best way forward to keep our staff and customers safe.
Do I need to do anything before bringing my car in for my booking?
All customers are requested to have a clean and hoovered car to enable us to wipe down the interior prior to working on your vehicle. All customers are requested to leave their service booklets and locking wheel bolt key on the front passenger seat. Please also remove any used facemasks from your vehicle.
Will I have to drop off and collect my car at a particular time?
A drop off and collection time will be agreed with you at point of booking. If we change this due to additional work being carried out we will contact you to agree an alternative time. If you are unable to make your allotted time for collection then please contact us via phone to arrange another suitable time.
How will I drop my keys off to you?
Our reception side window will be open for you to deposit your keys safely through our new drop off system.
How do I know where to park?
There are clear markers in the carpark which will direct you to a parking bay
What safety measures will be carried out to ensure that my keys and car are clean after you have completed your work?
We will remove the seat covers and floor mats. We will then wipe down your steering wheel, door handles and keys with anti bacterial wipes prior to you collecting your vehicle.
Do you offer a discount for NHS workers?
As a “Thank you” for all the hard work that our NHS staff have been doing during the COVID 19 pandemic, we would like to offer a 20% discount to all NHS staff (on production of a valid NHS card).
We would like to thank all our customers and staff for their hard work, patience, dedication and commitment in making this work during such unprecedented times.
Our procedures will be constantly reviewed in line with government guidelines, and once it is safe to do so we will start to re-introduce our other services.
NEW HEALTH AND SAFTEY GUIDANCE FOR COVID 19
We have carried out a very comprehensive risk assessment according to the government guidelines.
Such as 2 metre social distancing, washing hands regularly for 20 seconds and appropriate PPE. This has then enabled us to assess the best way forward in keeping our staff and customers safe.
The procedures that we have put in place are:
- By appointment only by phone or email
- All customers will be given an allotted time to arrive, park and deposit keys through a side window
- All customers are requested to have a clean and hoovered car to enable us to wipe down the interior prior to working on your vehicle. To also remove any used masks from the vehicle.
- All customers are requested to leave their service booklets and locking wheel bolt key on the front passenger seat.
- We will then wipe the steering wheel and door handles of your vehicle and put seat covers and footwells with protective floor mats.
- Payment will be taken over the phone before collecting your vehicle.
- We will then replace service booklet and locking wheel bolt to the passenger front seat.
- We are now happy to offer our courtesy car and collection and delivery service.
- Our reception door will be locked at all times and arrows will be directing you in the carpark upon your arrival to us.
- We will not be offering any waiting jobs, unless agreed by a staff member and recommend customer can go for a walk locally.
This procedure is subject to change if needed.

Genuine V.A.G brake fluid machine
Here is our new upgraded genuine V.A.G. Machine that is identical to the ones that main dealerships use. This enables us to extract the old brake fluid from the reservoir and carry out pressure test on the brake hydraulic system.
Brake fluid, also known as hydraulic fluid, is responsible for moving the various components of your vehicle’s braking system. The fluid operates under high temperatures and pressure, without it, your car would not be able to stop when you push the brake pedal inside your vehicle. This is how it works:
- The driver depresses the brake pedal
- The pedal compresses a piston inside the brake caliper.
- This compression increases the pressure inside the brake lines and sends the brake fluid into motion.
- The pressure of the brake fluid then causes the brake rotors to squeeze down on brake pads, which then make contact with the wheels, slowing and eventually stopping wheel rotation and also the vehicle itself.
Most of the manufacturers suggest that brake fluid should be replaced every two years.
Apart from a new vehicle when it would be 3 years old then every 2 years.
